I've only been to the area once before, I have absolutely no idea about it besides it having a reputation for "red light" nightlife lol. Not interested in that, just trying to suss out good food options...

Any recommendations for must eats in the area?? Any cuisine okay! 🙏 and thanks in advance!!!!

Kinshicho's food scene is way better than its nightlife rep gives it credit for. Head to the Olinas mall food court, but skip the chains and go for the tonkatsu place on the 7th floor, it's been there since before the mall renovated and the sauce is house-made. For lunch on a weekday, try the soba at Kanda Yabu Soba near the north exit, the kake soba is 500 yen and they make the noodles in-house right behind the counter. If you're craving curry, CoCo Ichibanya is everywhere but the one on the south side of the station has a special pork cutlet bowl that's not on the standard menu, just ask for the katsu curry don.

if you're there for lunch, hit up the tsurutontan near the north exit, their udon is massive and the broth is super rich, i always get the curry nabe udon. also theres a hidden ramen spot called mensho on the 2nd floor of that building next to the pachinko place, the shio ramen is simple but perfect, no line most weekdays

honestly the best thing about kinshicho is the sheer density of good izakaya around the station. skip the main drag and duck into the side streets near the south exit, there's a tiny place called toriyoshi that's been doing yakitori for like 40 years, the negima (chicken & leek skewers) are 130 yen each and they're grilled over binchotan charcoal right in front of you. also if ur there on a weekday afternoon, the katsudon at yoshino on the 3rd floor of the arcade building is unreal, it's this old lady who's been running it solo since the 80s and the egg is always perfectly runny

Where can I find crispy, pan-fried bacon similar to a certain international style?

if u have a costco membership the kirkland thick cut is the move, 4 packs of 500g for around 2500 yen and it crisps up proper in a cold pan. for smaller runs, precce in azabudai hills & the basement at isetan shinjuku both carry imported US & danish brands in the chilled case, just read the label for "thick cut" or "smoked" and not "loin". also worth knowing japanese bacon is often wet-cured so pat it dry before frying or it steams instead of crisping

kaldi coffee farm is hit or miss but their smoked bacon from denmark shows up pretty regular, the 200g pack runs about 600 yen. what actually works better for me is asking the butcher counter at peacock or life to slice the block bacon thick, like 5mm, they do it for free and it crisps way better than the pre-packed stuff. also fwiw cheap bacon crisps faster, the fatty supermarket kind at 300 yen a pack works fine if u cook it from cold in a dry pan and pour off the fat as it renders.

tbh the gyomu super store brand bacon is surprisingly decent for crisping up, its not thick cut but if you cook it low and slow it gets pretty crunchy. the key is the dry cure vs wet cure thing, wet cure steams. also check hanamasa if you have one nearby, they sell big packs of american style bacon thats actually smoked and firm.
