yeah you're not gonna walk into a random club on a friday and hear that set. but if you're okay with a smaller venue, check out the events at asagaya's "loft project" or "bar isshee." they do these niche nights like "denpa ondo" or "otogedai" that mix in that j-core, vocaloid remix, and future bass stuff. it's a bit of a trek from central shibuya but the crowd is way more into that specific sound and the djs actually know the tracks you're after

ah that reol/teddyloid/giga sound is kind of a specific corner of j-pop/electronic. you're not gonna find it at the big clubs in shibuya or roppongi. check out contact in shibuya, they have some DJ sets that drift into that vocaloid-adjacent EDM territory, especially on event nights like "tokyo reality" or "future base." smaller spot called forestlimit in koenji might have something too, the vibe there is more experimental and they pull in DJs who mix in that j-core and hardcore vocaloid stuff

another option is to keep an eye on what's happening at tsutaya o-nest in shibuya. they book a bunch of DJ events that mix electronic and j-pop, especially on weekends. the sound system there is solid and it's not as massive as contact or unit, so the crowd tends to be more into the music. also worth checking the schedule at harajuku's vuenos, they do occasional nights with that vocaloid-adjacent edm vibe, though it's more hit or miss depending on the promoter

if u have a costco membership the kirkland thick cut is the move, 4 packs of 500g for around 2500 yen and it crisps up proper in a cold pan. for smaller runs, precce in azabudai hills & the basement at isetan shinjuku both carry imported US & danish brands in the chilled case, just read the label for "thick cut" or "smoked" and not "loin". also worth knowing japanese bacon is often wet-cured so pat it dry before frying or it steams instead of crisping

kaldi coffee farm is hit or miss but their smoked bacon from denmark shows up pretty regular, the 200g pack runs about 600 yen. what actually works better for me is asking the butcher counter at peacock or life to slice the block bacon thick, like 5mm, they do it for free and it crisps way better than the pre-packed stuff. also fwiw cheap bacon crisps faster, the fatty supermarket kind at 300 yen a pack works fine if u cook it from cold in a dry pan and pour off the fat as it renders.

tbh the gyomu super store brand bacon is surprisingly decent for crisping up, its not thick cut but if you cook it low and slow it gets pretty crunchy. the key is the dry cure vs wet cure thing, wet cure steams. also check hanamasa if you have one nearby, they sell big packs of american style bacon thats actually smoked and firm.
