Fastest way to get contact lenses in Tokyo?

So I went to get some at Don Quixote instead like I've done several times before without their app but this time I was told it's not possible. Does anyone know how to get hold of contacts fast (maybe even the same day) in Tokyo? Hopefully a way that's not very expensive? Also, are the free/cheap eye exams anywhere?

If you can get a new prescription sorted, Megane Super and Jins both do eye exams for free and have contacts in stock. The exam takes about 15 minutes. You'll need to buy at least a box of 30 daily lenses from them, but that's usually around 3,000 to 4,000 yen depending on your prescription. Jins in Shibuya or Shinjuku are usually quick on weekday afternoons.

You can try Costco if you have a membership or know someone who does. Their optical section does eye exams for about 3,000 yen and they stock a decent range of daily and monthly lenses at reasonable prices. The exam is thorough and you can walk out with a box same day. Just bring your old box or prescription info if you have it, since the exam results go straight to their system. The Costco in Makuhari or Ebina are less crowded than the city ones if you can get out there.

there's a place called lens style in harajuku that does same-day contact lens sales with a free eye exam on the spot, right near takeshita street. it's a bit tucked away on the second floor but they have a decent selection and you'll be out in under 30 minutes. costs around 3,500 yen for a box of 30 dailies, which is pretty standard for the area. just bring your old box if you have it so they can match the prescription faster.

if u have a costco membership the kirkland thick cut is the move, 4 packs of 500g for around 2500 yen and it crisps up proper in a cold pan. for smaller runs, precce in azabudai hills & the basement at isetan shinjuku both carry imported US & danish brands in the chilled case, just read the label for "thick cut" or "smoked" and not "loin". also worth knowing japanese bacon is often wet-cured so pat it dry before frying or it steams instead of crisping

kaldi coffee farm is hit or miss but their smoked bacon from denmark shows up pretty regular, the 200g pack runs about 600 yen. what actually works better for me is asking the butcher counter at peacock or life to slice the block bacon thick, like 5mm, they do it for free and it crisps way better than the pre-packed stuff. also fwiw cheap bacon crisps faster, the fatty supermarket kind at 300 yen a pack works fine if u cook it from cold in a dry pan and pour off the fat as it renders.

tbh the gyomu super store brand bacon is surprisingly decent for crisping up, its not thick cut but if you cook it low and slow it gets pretty crunchy. the key is the dry cure vs wet cure thing, wet cure steams. also check hanamasa if you have one nearby, they sell big packs of american style bacon thats actually smoked and firm.
