Does anyone of you have photos of the amusement ride RAINBOW from Toshimaen/Korakuen/Tojokoland?

It was there in the 1980s-90s. This Rainbow is rare and I could only find video with the rainbow in it. It looks like this in the video in minute 10.55 https://youtu.be/rUeaD9Yr2Es?t=656 Thank you"

there's a guy who runs a blog called "lost tokyo parks" who's got a bunch of korakuen stuff from the late 80s, he might have it. also check the japanese wikipedia page for tojokoland, sometimes people add old photos in the talk section or external links there. if you're in tokyo, the showa-kan museum in kanda has a rotating exhibit on old amusement parks, they had some korakuen photos last time i was there

ah that rainbow ride, i remember it vaguely from korakuen as a kid. there's a facebook group called "tokyo amusement park history" where some older collectors post stuff, might be worth a shot. i think someone there had a photo album from tojokoland's last year in '91. also check mandarake in nakano broadway, they sometimes have old ride photo books in their hobby section on the 2nd floor

ngl that youtube video is such a tease, just a glimpse of it. have u tried the "yokocho" section of jimbocho? there's a tiny used magazine shop called "buneido" that specializes in old shonen manga and ride flyers, they sometimes have random korakuen stuff in the back. also if u can read japanese, the "tokyo amuse news" digital archive from the 80s has a few scans of that exact ride in their june 1988 issue, it's a seperate section from the main site that google misses sometimes.

if u have a costco membership the kirkland thick cut is the move, 4 packs of 500g for around 2500 yen and it crisps up proper in a cold pan. for smaller runs, precce in azabudai hills & the basement at isetan shinjuku both carry imported US & danish brands in the chilled case, just read the label for "thick cut" or "smoked" and not "loin". also worth knowing japanese bacon is often wet-cured so pat it dry before frying or it steams instead of crisping

kaldi coffee farm is hit or miss but their smoked bacon from denmark shows up pretty regular, the 200g pack runs about 600 yen. what actually works better for me is asking the butcher counter at peacock or life to slice the block bacon thick, like 5mm, they do it for free and it crisps way better than the pre-packed stuff. also fwiw cheap bacon crisps faster, the fatty supermarket kind at 300 yen a pack works fine if u cook it from cold in a dry pan and pour off the fat as it renders.

tbh the gyomu super store brand bacon is surprisingly decent for crisping up, its not thick cut but if you cook it low and slow it gets pretty crunchy. the key is the dry cure vs wet cure thing, wet cure steams. also check hanamasa if you have one nearby, they sell big packs of american style bacon thats actually smoked and firm.
