fwiw there's also Borderless House in taito, they do 3 month min stays and no key money. I stayed at their kuramae spot and liked it, close to the river and the old school bathhouses. rent was 95k for a private room with shared kitchen, utilities included

another option is just booking a weekly mansion through a site like Leopalace21 or Monthly Taro, they have listings near Asakusa station for like 110k a month. no deposit but you pay a cleaning fee upfront around 25k. the rooms are tiny but you get your own kitchen and bath which is nice

if you're on a budget check out the share houses near Minami Senju station, you can find rooms for 60-70k a month. the area's a bit rough around the edges but it's super convenient for getting around and there's good cheap ramen spots on the main road

honestly for 3 months in taito you're prob looking at a monthly mansion or a share house. most regular apartments want 2 year contracts and that key money & deposit stuff adds up to like 5-6 months rent upfront which is ridiculous for a short stay

check out places like Sakura House or Oakhouse, they have some spots near Minowa or Iriya stations. you can get a private room for around 80-100k yen a month with utilities included and no deposit. the rooms are small but the location is solid, quick walk to Ueno park and all the yakiniku places along the main street

just be aware that some of these monthly places need u to pay a cleaning fee at the end, like 20-30k yen. still way cheaper than a normal lease setup

if u wanna skip the whole share house vibe, check out R-Living or Kaguya Japan, they do monthly apartments with no key money or deposit. i stayed in one near Kuramae for 3 months, paid like 90k a month all in including utilities and wifi. the room was basically a shoebox but it had a mini kitchen and my own toilet which was clutch. they just hit u with a 30k cleaning fee at the end, pretty standard for that kinda setup

if u have a costco membership the kirkland thick cut is the move, 4 packs of 500g for around 2500 yen and it crisps up proper in a cold pan. for smaller runs, precce in azabudai hills & the basement at isetan shinjuku both carry imported US & danish brands in the chilled case, just read the label for "thick cut" or "smoked" and not "loin". also worth knowing japanese bacon is often wet-cured so pat it dry before frying or it steams instead of crisping

kaldi coffee farm is hit or miss but their smoked bacon from denmark shows up pretty regular, the 200g pack runs about 600 yen. what actually works better for me is asking the butcher counter at peacock or life to slice the block bacon thick, like 5mm, they do it for free and it crisps way better than the pre-packed stuff. also fwiw cheap bacon crisps faster, the fatty supermarket kind at 300 yen a pack works fine if u cook it from cold in a dry pan and pour off the fat as it renders.

tbh the gyomu super store brand bacon is surprisingly decent for crisping up, its not thick cut but if you cook it low and slow it gets pretty crunchy. the key is the dry cure vs wet cure thing, wet cure steams. also check hanamasa if you have one nearby, they sell big packs of american style bacon thats actually smoked and firm.
