Anyone know if Hooters shows UFC?

I know two dogs and hobgoblin will screen it but curious if anyone knows if hooters does? I know two dogs and hobgoblin will screen it but curious if anyone knows if hooters does?

yeah hooters in shibuya usually has the ufc fights on, especially the big numbered events. theyve got a ton of tvs so you can catch it from pretty much any seat. just call ahead on fight night to double check theyre not doing some private event, that happens sometimes. if theyre not, two dogs in ebisu is my go to anyway, better crowd and the wings are way less greasy.

honestly most of the sports bars in shibuya will throw the ufc on if u ask, hooters included but the sound is usually off which kills it for me. if u want the full experience with commentary, try the hub in shinjuku, theyre less flashy but they actually care about the fight nights and the staff will switch tvs for u. plus u can grab a decent pint for like 600 yen instead of overpaying for their orange chicken.

tbh i'd skip hooters for ufc, the shibuya one is more of a tourist trap and the tv angles suck for fights. if you're set on that area, try the sports bar inside the shibuya excel hotel, they've got a projector and it's way less chaotic. otherwise two dogs in ebisu is solid but it fills up fast, so get there like an hour early if it's a numbered event. also check the hooters insta the day of, they post if they're doing a private party and that happens more than you'd think.

if u have a costco membership the kirkland thick cut is the move, 4 packs of 500g for around 2500 yen and it crisps up proper in a cold pan. for smaller runs, precce in azabudai hills & the basement at isetan shinjuku both carry imported US & danish brands in the chilled case, just read the label for "thick cut" or "smoked" and not "loin". also worth knowing japanese bacon is often wet-cured so pat it dry before frying or it steams instead of crisping

kaldi coffee farm is hit or miss but their smoked bacon from denmark shows up pretty regular, the 200g pack runs about 600 yen. what actually works better for me is asking the butcher counter at peacock or life to slice the block bacon thick, like 5mm, they do it for free and it crisps way better than the pre-packed stuff. also fwiw cheap bacon crisps faster, the fatty supermarket kind at 300 yen a pack works fine if u cook it from cold in a dry pan and pour off the fat as it renders.

tbh the gyomu super store brand bacon is surprisingly decent for crisping up, its not thick cut but if you cook it low and slow it gets pretty crunchy. the key is the dry cure vs wet cure thing, wet cure steams. also check hanamasa if you have one nearby, they sell big packs of american style bacon thats actually smoked and firm.
