Will my neighbor hear me singing if the apartment is 鉄筋コンクリート造?

I just moved to Tokyo. The apartment is new and 鉄筋コンクリート造 (sorry Idk how to say it in English), with very good sound insulation. I hear no sound neither from outside nor from my neighbor.

Sometimes I just want to sing to vent, without a mic and with the ordinary volume of singing a song, but worrying if my neighbor would hear me. So I just want to ask, what's your experience if you live in an apartment made by 鉄筋コンクリート?

you're probably fine tbh. i live in one in setagaya and i can sing in the shower no problem. if you can't hear them then they probably can't hear you either. walls in those buildings are usually 15-18cm thick concrete so it takes a lot to get through. maybe don't belt at full volume at 2am but regular singing during the day should be chill

You'll be fine. I've lived in a 鉄筋コンクリート building in Shinjuku for three years and sing in my living room regularly. The concrete in these newer buildings is thick enough that normal singing won't carry, especially if you can't hear your neighbors at all. Just avoid doing it late at night or early morning out of courtesy, but during daytime hours you have nothing to worry about.

honestly you're prob fine. i'm in a 鉄コン building in nakano and i've done karaoke sessions with my speaker at like 7pm and never got complaints. the thing is those walls are dense so sound doesn't travel as much as u think. what got me was the hallway door though, that's the weak spot so keep it shut tight when u sing. also if ur super paranoid just test it by having a friend listen from outside ur door while u sing at normal volume

if u have a costco membership the kirkland thick cut is the move, 4 packs of 500g for around 2500 yen and it crisps up proper in a cold pan. for smaller runs, precce in azabudai hills & the basement at isetan shinjuku both carry imported US & danish brands in the chilled case, just read the label for "thick cut" or "smoked" and not "loin". also worth knowing japanese bacon is often wet-cured so pat it dry before frying or it steams instead of crisping

kaldi coffee farm is hit or miss but their smoked bacon from denmark shows up pretty regular, the 200g pack runs about 600 yen. what actually works better for me is asking the butcher counter at peacock or life to slice the block bacon thick, like 5mm, they do it for free and it crisps way better than the pre-packed stuff. also fwiw cheap bacon crisps faster, the fatty supermarket kind at 300 yen a pack works fine if u cook it from cold in a dry pan and pour off the fat as it renders.

tbh the gyomu super store brand bacon is surprisingly decent for crisping up, its not thick cut but if you cook it low and slow it gets pretty crunchy. the key is the dry cure vs wet cure thing, wet cure steams. also check hanamasa if you have one nearby, they sell big packs of american style bacon thats actually smoked and firm.
