Anywhere to get a good smoked turkey leg?

I am a crap husband for not making sure we steered back to that part of the park for one.

There has got to be some joint in Tokyo that serves turkey legs, anybody know?

fwiw there's a place called The Great Burger in harajuku that does a smoked turkey sandwich on weekends, not a leg but the meat's the same style - they smoke it in-house for like 8 hours. if she's just after that specific smoky salty hit it might do the trick. otherwise check the american pharmacy near hiroo, they sometimes import frozen smoked turkey legs around holidays and you can just reheat em at home

seconding that you won't find proper smoked turkey legs around town, but if she's craving that specific disney flavor there's actually a whole japanese youtube rabbit hole of people trying to replicate them at home. saw a video where a guy used a kamado grill and some cherry wood chips and it looked pretty damn close. otherwise, hit up the meat section at costco in makuhari or kawasaki, they sell massive pre-cooked turkey legs around thanksgiving but sometimes stock them randomly throughout the year. slap em on a grill with some smoke and you're basically there

honestly i think you're gonna struggle finding a proper smoked turkey leg in tokyo. the disney ones are kinda their own thing and i haven't seen anything close at izakayas or street stalls. but if she just wants that big meaty smoky flavor, try Smokey's BBQ in shibuya - they do a smoked chicken leg that's pretty hefty and the sauce is solid. not the same but might scratch the itch for 1500 yen

if u have a costco membership the kirkland thick cut is the move, 4 packs of 500g for around 2500 yen and it crisps up proper in a cold pan. for smaller runs, precce in azabudai hills & the basement at isetan shinjuku both carry imported US & danish brands in the chilled case, just read the label for "thick cut" or "smoked" and not "loin". also worth knowing japanese bacon is often wet-cured so pat it dry before frying or it steams instead of crisping

kaldi coffee farm is hit or miss but their smoked bacon from denmark shows up pretty regular, the 200g pack runs about 600 yen. what actually works better for me is asking the butcher counter at peacock or life to slice the block bacon thick, like 5mm, they do it for free and it crisps way better than the pre-packed stuff. also fwiw cheap bacon crisps faster, the fatty supermarket kind at 300 yen a pack works fine if u cook it from cold in a dry pan and pour off the fat as it renders.

tbh the gyomu super store brand bacon is surprisingly decent for crisping up, its not thick cut but if you cook it low and slow it gets pretty crunchy. the key is the dry cure vs wet cure thing, wet cure steams. also check hanamasa if you have one nearby, they sell big packs of american style bacon thats actually smoked and firm.
