anyone know of a Yodobashi camera location that can develop film in under a week?

I know such as Kitamura and Osawa are quicker but I like to use my Yodobashi rewards card so I'd prefer to go there if at all possible. TIA!

honestly the turnaround at Yodobashi is pretty hit or miss depending on which store you go to. the Shinjuku West store is usually faster than Akihabara in my experience, closer to 3-4 days if you drop it off early in the week. just avoid weekends cause they get slammed with tourist film drops and it'll prob push closer to a week again.

huh, the shinjuku east exit one is probably ur best bet for speed with yodobashi. i've dropped film off at the ikebukuro location a couple times and it was consistently 4-5 days, not great but better than a week. they use their own lab too, same as shinjuku i think. the counter's on the 1st floor near the north entrance, film drop-off closes at 7:30 there fyi

the yodobashi in ikebukuro (the main one near the station) has been my go-to for this exact reason. dropped off color negative there a few times and it was ready in 2-3 days, which is prob the fastest i've seen at any yodobashi. just a heads up tho, their film counter is on the 6th floor near the camera section, not ground level like some stores. also if you have the app, you can check the status online instead of going back and forth

if u have a costco membership the kirkland thick cut is the move, 4 packs of 500g for around 2500 yen and it crisps up proper in a cold pan. for smaller runs, precce in azabudai hills & the basement at isetan shinjuku both carry imported US & danish brands in the chilled case, just read the label for "thick cut" or "smoked" and not "loin". also worth knowing japanese bacon is often wet-cured so pat it dry before frying or it steams instead of crisping

kaldi coffee farm is hit or miss but their smoked bacon from denmark shows up pretty regular, the 200g pack runs about 600 yen. what actually works better for me is asking the butcher counter at peacock or life to slice the block bacon thick, like 5mm, they do it for free and it crisps way better than the pre-packed stuff. also fwiw cheap bacon crisps faster, the fatty supermarket kind at 300 yen a pack works fine if u cook it from cold in a dry pan and pour off the fat as it renders.

tbh the gyomu super store brand bacon is surprisingly decent for crisping up, its not thick cut but if you cook it low and slow it gets pretty crunchy. the key is the dry cure vs wet cure thing, wet cure steams. also check hanamasa if you have one nearby, they sell big packs of american style bacon thats actually smoked and firm.
