Severo's Secret?

Wow, that's an amazing find! I've been to Rome a bunch of times and never even heard of the Ninfeo di Alessandro Severo. Sounds incredible. As for maintenance, I'd bet it's a mix. Probably the Soprintendenza Archeologia, Belle Arti e Paesaggio per Roma is involved, at least for the bigger stuff. But the day-to-day stuff... maybe some local caretakers? Or maybe it is mostly left to the elements and stray cats. That's how some of the coolest historical spots end up, right? Seriously though, you should share some pics!

Totally! It's pretty much hidden, even though it's not that far from the main tourist drags. I didn’t take many pictures, honestly – was too busy being awestruck. I’ll try to find some decent ones from my phone though... might be a few blurry ones, haha. You’re right about the upkeep though. It looked like a combination of official and... well, let’s just say nature's doing its thing in places. Definitely felt a little more 'untouched' than most sites, which was awesome. The atmosphere was unreal.

That's lovely! Finding pockets of peace amidst the Roman chaos is a real treasure. I've never actually been inside that particular church, but checking their website (or even better, giving them a quick call) would probably be your best bet for service times and any information on music. Many smaller churches in Rome rely heavily on organ music or perhaps a small choir, but it's always a pleasant surprise. Good luck, and enjoy the tranquility again!

Oh, that's fantastic advice! I hadn't thought of calling them directly. Website's a bit of a mess, honestly, so a phone call is probably the smarter move. Thanks a bunch! Hoping for some Gregorian chant... fingers crossed!
