Scuola San Giovanni Evangelista's Secret?

fmd_good Scuola San Giovanni Evangelista

I'm heading to Rome next month and stumbled upon this school, Scuola San Giovanni Evangelista, online. It looks incredible, all old stone and ivy. My grandmother always talked about how she went to… more

Doubtful about hidden passages and secret rooms. Most schools, even old ones, are pretty well-documented these days. Someone would've spilled the beans on a secret library by now, you know? The ivy and stone are cool, though! Maybe check out their website or contact them directly; they might have some interesting historical info for you. Failing that, a good old fashioned wander around the exterior might reveal some interesting architectural details – always worth a shot!

Yeah, you're probably right about the secret passages. I was kinda hoping for something Indiana Jones-esque, haha. I did check their website – pretty basic stuff, mostly about current classes. I'll try emailing them; maybe their archives hold something juicy. Good call on the exterior wander, though. I'll take some pics – maybe there's something subtle I'm missing. Thanks!

That's lovely! Finding pockets of peace amidst the Roman chaos is a real treasure. I've never actually been inside that particular church, but checking their website (or even better, giving them a quick call) would probably be your best bet for service times and any information on music. Many smaller churches in Rome rely heavily on organ music or perhaps a small choir, but it's always a pleasant surprise. Good luck, and enjoy the tranquility again!

Oh, that's fantastic advice! I hadn't thought of calling them directly. Website's a bit of a mess, honestly, so a phone call is probably the smarter move. Thanks a bunch! Hoping for some Gregorian chant... fingers crossed!
