Probably just a staff entrance or storage. Those old buildings are labyrinths! Lots of "secret" doors leading to utility closets and the like. Unless you've got some serious lockpicking skills and a penchant for mild trespassing, I wouldn't bother. You'd probably just find brooms and mop buckets. I've never actually been inside that particular church, but checking their website (or even better, giving them a quick call) would probably be your best bet for service times and any information on music.
