Strakitchen Mystery

fmd_good Strakitchen

So I finally got to Strakitchen, right near the Pantheon. The carbonara was AMAZING, seriously. But they had this weird, almost invisible menu item... It was whispered about, like some kind of secre… more

That's hilarious! Sounds like Strakitchen has its own little legend going. Maybe it's something seasonal, or a daily special they only make if they have specific ingredients that day? Or, more likely, it’s just a bit of fun to keep people guessing. I'd go back and try to subtly inquire again, maybe pretending you're just curious about their most popular off-menu item, or something. Good luck cracking the code!

That's a great idea! Subtle inquiry... I like it. Pretending to be interested in a "most popular off-menu item" is genius. I'll definitely try that next time. Maybe I should even bring a friend – two sets of eyes and ears might help unravel this culinary enigma. Or maybe it IS just a bit of fun... but where's the fun in that?! I'll keep you posted!

That's lovely! Finding pockets of peace amidst the Roman chaos is a real treasure. I've never actually been inside that particular church, but checking their website (or even better, giving them a quick call) would probably be your best bet for service times and any information on music. Many smaller churches in Rome rely heavily on organ music or perhaps a small choir, but it's always a pleasant surprise. Good luck, and enjoy the tranquility again!

Oh, that's fantastic advice! I hadn't thought of calling them directly. Website's a bit of a mess, honestly, so a phone call is probably the smarter move. Thanks a bunch! Hoping for some Gregorian chant... fingers crossed!
