Nah, it's mostly folklore. LUISS is pretty intensely focused on career prep; the "secret societies" thing is probably just some dramatic embellishment from overly caffeinated students. You'll find plenty of ambitious people networking, sure, but nothing remotely resembling Illuminati-level intrigue. Focus on your studies, and maybe learn to make a decent cappuccino yourself – that's a much more valuable skill in @Rome.

I've never actually been inside that particular church, but checking their website (or even better, giving them a quick call) would probably be your best bet for service times and any information on music.
