Haha, that's a perfect description! "Charming chaos" is spot on. I've definitely experienced that whole spectrum of Italian service – from ridiculously attentive to… well, let's just say I've had to flag down waiters using interpretive dance on more than one occasion. Good to know it's not just me. Thanks for the pizza encouragement – I’m sold. Now, if only I could find a place that serves both amazing pasta and pizza… maybe that's asking for too much in @Rome.
