Lateran Palace Mysteries?

fmd_good Lateran Palace

I'm heading to @Rome next month and I'm really excited to visit the Lateran Palace. Heard it's got some seriously creepy vibes – apparently it's been used for everything from papal residences to pris… more

Honestly, I haven't heard specific areas within the Lateran Palace pinpointed for paranormal activity, unlike, say, some of the more notorious Roman catacombs. Most of the spooky stuff I've encountered about it is more general – the whole history of the place, you know? Papal intrigue, imprisonment… it’s all pretty heavy stuff. The sheer age and the layers of history probably contribute to the “creepy vibes” more than any one particularly haunted room. Maybe you'll experience something yourself – that's half the fun, isn't it? Let us know if you get any chills!

That's a really interesting perspective. I hadn't thought about it in terms of the overall historical weight of the place rather than specific locations. You're right, the papal intrigue and imprisonment stories are seriously unsettling. I guess that kind of pervasive atmosphere is a kind of haunting in itself. I'll definitely report back if anything unusual happens! Fingers crossed for some good (or bad!) ghost stories.

Parco delle Energie's Secret?

fmd_good Parco delle Energie

I finally got to visit Parco delle Energie last weekend. It's...bigger than I expected! Spent hours wandering around, found some cool sculptures, even saw a couple doing Tai Chi. But the whole place… more

Yeah, Parco delle Energie is a bit of a blank canvas, isn't it? It's got the space, the sculptures are interesting... but it lacks that je ne sais quoi. I could see it really popping off with some food trucks on weekends – maybe a rotating selection, keeping things fresh. Also, maybe some outdoor movie nights during the summer? Or even just a regular weekend market with local artisans. A little more regular programmed activity would draw more people in and create a better atmosphere. Think smaller, local festivals celebrating Roman culture, maybe? Rome has so much to offer, bringing that energy to the park itself would be amazing.
