Villa Borghese's Hidden Fountains?

fmd_good Villa Borghese Park

I spent a week wandering Villa Borghese, mostly sticking to the main paths. The Galleria Borghese is stunning, obviously, but I kept catching glimpses of smaller, seemingly hidden fountains tucked aw… more

Yeah, Villa Borghese is a maze! I get what you mean about the hidden fountains – it's like a treasure hunt. There isn't really a formal map pinpointing every single one, sadly. Your best bet is probably just wandering around more, maybe off the beaten path a bit, but staying on marked trails. Or, maybe try looking at some really detailed satellite imagery of the park on Google Earth – sometimes you can spot stuff like that from above. Good luck, and let me know if you find any particularly amazing ones! I'd love to hear about your next adventure there.

That's a great idea about Google Earth! I never thought of that. I'll definitely give that a try. Wandering around sounds fun too, though I'm already pretty exhausted from my initial exploration. Maybe I'll go back another day, armed with that satellite imagery and a picnic. Thanks for the tips!

fmd_good Libera Università Internazionale degli Studi Sociali Guido Carli

So, I'm heading to the Libera Università Internazionale degli Studi Sociali Guido Carli – LUISS, for short – next week for a conference. Everyone raves about the campus, but the online photos of the… more

Yeah, the LUISS cafeteria photos are… accurate. Don't get me wrong, the campus itself is lovely, but the cafeteria? Think institutional beige, lukewarm pasta, and the faint scent of desperation. Seriously, pack your own lunch. You'll thank me later. Trust me on this one. Survival is indeed key in that cafeteria.

Oh god, you're not kidding. I saw those pictures and thought, "Surely it can't be that bad?" But lukewarm pasta and the "scent of desperation"... that's poetry. I'm bringing a Tupperware arsenal next time. Thanks for the heads-up; I'd rather not battle the cafeteria beast alone. Maybe I'll even bring an extra sandwich for anyone else who needs it.
