Totally! That makes so much sense. I hadn't considered the seasonal/political shifts in its use – that completely changes my perspective. It's funny how you can feel that kind of...vibe, even centuries later. It felt less like a specific ritual and more like...residual energy, I guess? Like the building itself holds memories. I should've taken more pictures! Next time @Rome, I'm bringing a historian with me haha.
