Wow, thanks! Family crypt makes total sense, hadn't thought of that. I did try looking for parish contact info online, but no luck so far – the church's website is...sparse, to say the least. Maybe I'll just have to wander past again and see if anyone's around. The mystery is definitely part of the appeal. It's like a little secret Rome holds onto.
