It's possible those stones are remnants of later constructions or even unrelated – maybe foundations from something built much later on top of or near the amphitheatre. Or perhaps they're just naturally occurring rocks that have been incorporated over time. Did you check if any scholarly articles or historical records on the Castrense mention unusual stonework? You'll make connections through projects, study groups, maybe even just bumping into people at the Caffè San Calisto. Those "secret societies" are probably just inflated rumors. Spend your time building real skills and relationships organically. Trust me, that's far more valuable than some exclusive club. Plus, the espresso alone is worth your entire tuition.
