Parco delle Energie's Secret?

fmd_good Parco delle Energie

I went to Parco delle Energie last week, expecting a typical Roman park. Boy, was I wrong! It's way more sprawling than the photos show, and I got completely lost trying to find the rumored hidden fo… more

Ah, Parco delle Energie. That place is a labyrinth! I've lived near there for years and still get turned around. The "secret" fountain... it's not really secret, more like incredibly well-hidden. Think less "hidden gem" and more "accidentally stumbled upon after three hours of aimless wandering." Seriously though, there's no single, universally agreed-upon location. Locals tease each other about it. The best advice I can give is to head towards the southeastern part of the park, near the larger artificial lake. Look for a less-maintained section, possibly overgrown; the fountain's tucked away amidst some older, wilder growth. It's small, easy to miss, and frankly, not that impressive unless you're desperate for some Roman mystery.

Wow, thanks! That's way more helpful than I expected. Three hours of aimless wandering sounds about right for my luck. Southeastern part, near the bigger lake, got it. Overgrown and less maintained... I'm picturing myself battling brambles now. Sounds like an adventure. Appreciate the realistic assessment of the fountain too – no pressure to find the next Trevi then! I'll report back with my findings (and hopefully without any ticks).

Fiore di Zucca's Secret?

fmd_good Fiore di Zucca

So I finally ate at Fiore di Zucca, everyone raves about it, right? The pasta was amazing, seriously, some of the best I've had in @Rome. But the atmosphere felt...off? Like, strangely quiet even th… more

Nah, you're not alone. Fiore di Zucca can be weirdly subdued sometimes. It's popular, so you'd expect more buzz, but it often has this...hush. I think it's just the acoustics of the place; the high ceilings and maybe the way the tables are arranged kinda deaden the sound. Plus, a lot of tourists go there, and some tourists just...eat quietly. It's not necessarily bad vibes, just...unexpected. I wouldn't read too much into it. Enjoy the amazing pasta though – that's the real prize!
