Servian Wall Mystery

fmd_good Servian Wall

So I walked the Servian Wall in Rome last week, amazing views, honestly. But I kept noticing these little, almost invisible markings carved into some of the stones – tiny symbols, not graffiti. Anyo… more

That's wild! I've walked those walls myself, tons of times, and never noticed anything like that. It could be anything from mason's marks (builders often left little identifying symbols on their work) to something far more obscure. Rome's got layers upon layers of history crammed into it; you're practically walking on top of millennia of stuff. Have you tried contacting the Parco Archeologico del Colosseo?
