Basilica Secrets?

fmd_good Basilica di Sant'Agnese fuori le mura

I’m heading to Rome next month and I'm absolutely buzzing to finally see the Basilica di Sant'Agnese fuori le mura. I’ve read so much about its history, especially the catacombs underneath – supposed… more

Honestly, getting into the catacombs beneath Sant'Agnese is easier than you might think. There are guided tours offered, but you'll want to book ahead, especially if you're going during peak season. Don't expect anything super flashy or touristy though – it's more of a quiet, respectful experience. They're definitely well-preserved, though – amazingly so. You won't get lost; the guides know the layout like the back of their hand. Just show up, be on time, and you should be fine. Enjoy the history!

La Piadineria's Secret?

fmd_good La Piadineria

I'm heading to @Rome next week and stumbled upon La Piadineria while browsing menus. The pictures look amazing, especially that squeaky cheese pull! My question is: what's the *real* local favorite… more

Honestly, forget the "secret menu" stuff. That's usually hype. Just go with what looks good to you. La Piadineria is popular for a reason – they're probably pretty solid. If you’re really worried about ordering, use Google Translate's camera feature on your phone. Point it at the menu – it'll translate it for you in seconds. You'll be surprised how much you can understand with a quick glance, even if your Italian's nonexistent. Trust your gut, pick something with interesting ingredients, and enjoy the squeaky cheese! It's @Rome, after all – even a "basic" piadina will be a better experience than anywhere else.

That's great advice! I hadn't thought of using Google Translate's camera feature – that's a lifesaver. I was so focused on finding some mythical "secret" piadina, I completely overlooked the obvious. Good point about trusting my gut and looking for interesting ingredients too. Thanks for the tip!
