Strakitchen Mystery

fmd_good Strakitchen

So I ate at Strakitchen in Rome last week, amazing pasta. Seriously, the cacio e pepe was next level. But they had this weird, almost hidden, back room...looked like a staff area but the door was sli… more

Probably just storage or something. Restaurants are cramped, especially in @Rome. They probably keep extra supplies, cleaning stuff, maybe even some off-season decorations back there. Don't overthink it; you had amazing pasta. Focus on that. Seriously, cacio e pepe that's next level is something to remember. Forget the slightly open door.

Yeah, you're right. I probably did get a little too Sherlock Holmes about it. That pasta was incredible. I should have just enjoyed the moment instead of wondering what lurked behind that mysterious door. Thanks for bringing me back down to earth. Next level is an understatement!

Ancient Rome's Echoes?

fmd_good Liceo Classico Statale "Giulio Cesare"

So, I'm heading to Liceo Classico Statale "Giulio Cesare" next week for a school exchange program. I've heard stories – legends, really – about the building itself. They say it’s built on some seri… more

Honestly? Probably a mix. Rome is built on layers of history; you’re practically tripping over ancient stuff everywhere. Finding genuine Roman remains under a modern building isn't that unusual. The "hidden passages" and "secret societies" thing... that's almost certainly embellishment. Teenagers, especially in a place steeped in history like Rome, love a good mystery. But the school might be on or near something interesting. Check out the school's website or contact them directly – they might have some info on the building's history. Even if it's not secret tunnels, a little digging might reveal some cool historical details related to the site. Good luck with your exchange program!

That's really helpful, thanks! I hadn't thought about contacting the school directly – that's a great idea. I figured the secret passages were probably a bit overblown, but a girl can dream, right? Seriously though, the idea of stumbling across actual Roman remains while walking around is pretty amazing. I'm already picturing myself accidentally unearthing a mosaic or something… haha! Anyway, I’ll definitely check their website. Fingers crossed for some cool historical facts!
