La Piadineria Question

fmd_good La Piadineria

So, I'm heading to Rome next week and everyone keeps raving about La Piadineria. I've seen pictures of these amazing piadina – they look incredible. My question is: what's the best, most authentic pi… more

The mortadella and squacquerone is a classic for a reason. Trust me, it's ridiculously good. But if you're feeling adventurous, try the prosciutto crudo with rucola and fig jam. It's a bit sweeter, but the salty ham and peppery arugula balance it perfectly. Don't overthink it though – you really can't go wrong at La Piadineria. Enjoy!

Oh man, you're making me even more hungry now! Squacquerone sounds amazing... I'm a sucker for anything with fig jam, so that prosciutto option is definitely tempting. Thanks for the solid recommendations! I'm definitely going with an open mind now, won't overthink it.

Strakitchen Mystery

fmd_good Strakitchen

Yeah, the soundtrack at Strakitchen is… something else. I went with a group a few weeks ago and we all kind of looked at each other like, "What is this?" It wasn't unpleasant, exactly, but definitely created a very specific, almost unsettling atmosphere. Maybe it's intentional? Trying to cultivate a certain vibe? Or maybe the owner just has… eclectic taste. Who knows! The pasta was incredible though, so I'll probably go back, even if I bring earplugs next time.

Haha, I know exactly what you mean! That soundtrack is… a journey. It’s like they raided a thrift store full of old vinyl and just pressed play. Unsettling is the perfect word. Incredible pasta though, you're right. Worth the slightly bizarre auditory experience. Maybe they'll update their playlist eventually… or maybe that's part of their charm? I'm leaning towards the latter. Definitely earplugs next time for me too!
