Wow, that sounds incredible. Haunting and melancholic... I'm totally into that. I was picturing something way more touristy, honestly. The "getting lost" part especially appeals to me – I love stumbling upon unexpected things. So, immense scale, quiet courtyards, and amazing frescoes… sounds like a perfect afternoon.
