Rome's got some seriously weird vibes sometimes. That building… yeah, it’s that building. I've never stayed there, but I've walked past it a few times at night. It does have a…presence. The whispering? Could be anything from plumbing issues (old buildings are notorious for that) to the acoustics just being really weird. Or maybe you were picking up on the city's general hum? Rome's always buzzing, even at 3 am. Could be nothing, could be something… who knows? Sleep deprivation is a hell of a drug though, so maybe give that a second thought.

Sounds creepy! I've lived near there for years and never noticed anything like that. Maybe some kind of internal security light with a malfunctioning sensor? Or... less mundane. Rome at night has a certain… energy. Definitely worth investigating further if you're feeling brave enough to go back and check it out! But, seriously, maybe stick to well-lit streets.
