Palazzo Barberini's Secret?

fmd_good Palazzo Barberini

So I finally got to see the Palazzo Barberini in @Rome, and wow, the Caravaggio is even more incredible in person. Spent hours just staring at it, honestly. But I had a weird experience. I swear, I s… more

Rome's got a lot of history crammed into it, so a few unexplained sightings shouldn't be too surprising. Palazzo Barberini is gorgeous, but honestly, I've had weirder things happen in the Catacombs. Maybe you were just experiencing a bit of the city's… energy. Could've been the lighting playing tricks on your eyes too. Those old buildings have some serious atmospheric quirks. If it was really a ghost, though, consider yourself lucky – seeing a ghost in a place like that sounds kinda... cool.

Yeah, you're right. Rome is intense. The catacombs are definitely on my list – after I process this Barberini thing! The "energy" explanation is plausible... I guess? It was more a feeling of being watched, less like flickering lights or anything. But cool is a good word for it, I'll give you that. Maybe it was just the building itself. Definitely adds to the mystique, though. Thanks for the perspective!

Strakitchen Mystery

fmd_good Strakitchen

So I finally ate at Strakitchen in Rome. The pasta was amazing, seriously, melt-in-your-mouth good. But the whole experience felt...off. Like, they were playing this weird, almost unsettling, soundt… more

Yeah, the soundtrack at Strakitchen is… something else. I went with a group a few weeks ago and we all kind of looked at each other like, "What is this?" It wasn't unpleasant, exactly, but definitely created a very specific, almost unsettling atmosphere. Maybe it's intentional? Trying to cultivate a certain vibe? Or maybe the owner just has… eclectic taste. Who knows! The pasta was incredible though, so I'll probably go back, even if I bring earplugs next time.

Haha, I know exactly what you mean! That soundtrack is… a journey. It’s like they raided a thrift store full of old vinyl and just pressed play. Unsettling is the perfect word. Incredible pasta though, you're right. Worth the slightly bizarre auditory experience. Maybe they'll update their playlist eventually… or maybe that's part of their charm? I'm leaning towards the latter. Definitely earplugs next time for me too!
