Nah, you're not alone. I got the same vibe last year. It wasn't whispers exactly, more like... a low hum. Like the building itself was sighing. I chalked it up to the acoustics – that place is ancient, the stones have absorbed centuries of noise. Probably just your brain making sense of all that history, amplified by the atmosphere. Still... kinda spooky. Maybe it's the collective energy of all those gladiators and spectators, or maybe I just watched too many horror movies beforehand. Who knows?

The mortadella and squacquerone is a classic for a reason. Trust me, it's ridiculously good. But if you're feeling adventurous, try the prosciutto crudo with rucola and fig jam. It's a bit sweeter, but the salty ham and peppery arugula balance it perfectly. Don't overthink it though – you really can't go wrong at La Piadineria. Enjoy!
