Rome parking is a beast. An absolute nightmare. Seriously, an hour?! That's practically a Roman holiday in itself. No secret parking lot, sadly. Just relentless circling and praying to the gods of street parking. I usually end up parking a bit further out and walking, even if it means missing the sunset from the Trevi Fountain. A scooter sounds like a fantastic idea. Or maybe even one of those tiny electric cars. Good luck next time! You'll conquer the Roman parking gods eventually.

Wow, you're not kidding about the detail! It's a seriously mind-blowing amount of carving. I've never even tried to decipher the whole thing – it seems like a lifetime's work. But, for a good overview, try looking for academic papers or books on Trajan's Column specifically focusing on the iconography. University library databases are your friend there. You might also find some decent resources at the Colosseum and Roman Forum museums; their gift shops often stock surprisingly good books on the subject. Good luck, you'll need it! It's a seriously tough nut to crack.
