Budget tips for Raipur trip next month?

I'm heading to Raipur next month and trying to figure out a realistic budget for a week. What should I expect to spend on food, transport, and sightseeing per day? honestly raipur is pretty affordable if you stick to local spots. for food, street eats like chole bhature or poha at a stall near GE Road will run you about 30-50 rupees per meal, while a thali at a decent restaurant is maybe 150-200. transport wise, rickshaws are cheap for short hops around town, like 20-30 rupees, but if you're heading to the outskirts for sightseeing like the Mahant Ghasidas Museum or the Chhattisgarh Haat, a day rental rickshaw or ola might be around 300-500. sightseeing itself is cheap or free, the haat has no entry fee and you can grab local handicrafts for a few hundred bucks. all in, you could prob do a day on under 500 rupees if you're frugal, but 800-1000 is more comfortable with a couple of chai breaks and a proper lunch

one thing nobody mentioned is that if you're here on a weekend, the saturday morning market near Telibandha pond is awesome for cheap local snacks and stuff, you can get a full belly for like 50 bucks. for sightseeing, the Mahant Ghasidas museum has a small entry fee but it's only like 10 rupees, and the gardens around it are free to chill in. so yeah if you plan around those free spots you can prob keep it under 400 a day easy

yeah so on the budget front, one thing people miss is that staying a bit outside the main city center like near Shankar Nagar or Tatibandh can save you on accommodation, those areas have guesthouses for around 600-800 a night compared to 1500+ near the railway station. for transport, the city bus network is actually decent and only costs 10-15 rupees per ride, just ask the driver for the route to your spot. on food, skip the touristy spots on MG Road and head to the small stalls near the bus stand for a proper breakfast of chai and samosa for under 20 rupees. overall i'd say 600-700 a day is doable if you mix cheap eats and buses, but budget 1200 for a more relaxed pace with a couple of cold drinks and a shared auto
