Nagpur day trips - where to go?

Headed to Nagpur next month for a few days and wanna squeeze in some day trips. Thinking Tadoba or something closer maybe? What's worth the drive? Headed to Nagpur next month for a few days and wanna squeeze in some day trips. Thinking Tadoba or something closer maybe? What's worth the drive?

dragon palace is cool but heads up it's a functioning monastery so keep it quiet inside. another option is the futala lake area at sunset, grab a kulfi from the cart near the traffic circle and watch the lights come on over the water. if you're vegetarian the little south indian joint on wardha road does a mean masala dosa for like 80 bucks, way better than the tourist spots

tadoba's the obvious one but honestly it's a full day thing, you gotta leave by 5am and hope the tigers show up. closer option is ramtek temple and the khindsi lake area, it's like 45 mins out and you get some nice views plus the old fort vibes. if you're into weird stuff, the dragon palace temple in kamptee is worth the 30 min drive, it's this random thai-buddhist place that feels nothing like nagpur. grab a vada pav at the stall near the gate before you head back.

if you're up for a drive, take the road to pench national park, it's about two hours but way less crowded than tadoba and the scenery along the way is solid. stop at the little dhaba near mansar for some decent bhakri and chai, the lake there is nice for a quick break too
