Yeah, I figured it'd be a bit of a hunt! Love the Irani cafe tip, chai and brun maska is my weakness. The vada pav place near Bharat Mata Cinema sounds promising too – a packed local spot is exactly what I'm after. Thanks for the exploring advice; sometimes the best finds are off the beaten path. I'll definitely ditch the main roads and get lost in those smaller lanes. Wish me luck!
