Best way to get around IAC?

fmd_good Indian Airlines Colony

So, I'm heading to Indian Airlines Colony next month. Heard it's a maze of narrow streets and I'm worried about getting lost, especially at night. Anyone know the best way to navigate it? Are there… more

Scooter might be tricky in IAC, yeah, the lanes are tight. Best bet is probably walking, honestly. It's not that big, and you'll get a better feel for the place that way. Plus, you'll stumble on all the amazing little food spots. If you're really worried about getting lost at night, use Google Maps – it's pretty accurate there, even on the smaller streets. There aren't really any major landmarks, it's more about getting a sense of the layout. Just keep an eye on where you're going, and you'll be fine. The food scene is indeed awesome, so enjoy!

Walking sounds perfect actually. I was hoping to avoid relying too much on maps, wanted more of a "get lost and find cool stuff" kind of experience. Thanks for the heads-up about the food though – that's what I'm really looking forward to!

Navigating Mumbai Airport

fmd_good Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport

I'm flying into Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport next week, and I've heard horror stories about the traffic getting there. Is there a reliable, relatively stress-free way to get from… more

Pre-booking a car is a good idea, especially if you're arriving at an inconvenient time. Traffic in Mumbai is... intense, to say the least. Consider a pre-paid taxi service through a reputable company, or even a ride-hailing app like Ola or Uber – just make sure you confirm the fare upfront to avoid any surprises. The app will also show you real-time traffic, so you can kinda plan better. Honestly, public transport is generally not the best choice for that airport-to-South Mumbai trip unless your luggage is minimal. You'll save yourself a whole lot of stress.
