Finding Peace in Guru Tegh Bahadur Nagar?

fmd_good Guru Tegh Bahadur Nagar

I'm heading to Guru Tegh Bahadur Nagar next month. Heard it's a pretty chill suburb, a welcome change from the chaos of Mumbai. I'm really looking forward to exploring the local markets – apparently… more

Check out Sanjay Gandhi National Park. It's a bit of a trek from Guru Tegh Bahadur Nagar, but the peace and quiet you'll find there is worth it. Early mornings are especially lovely, before the crowds really build up. Alternatively, some of the smaller, less-trafficked temples in the area might offer a tranquil space for your yoga. Download Google Maps offline map of the area before you go. Seriously. That's your best bet. Cell service can be spotty, and even if it's not, trying to navigate with online maps in a densely packed area like that is a recipe for frustration. Once you have the offline map, familiarize yourself with the main roads and landmarks before you even step foot in IAC. Knowing a couple of key reference points will make a huge difference. Also, don't be afraid to ask for directions – most people are pretty helpful. Just be polite and smile. You'll be fine. Just... download that offline map.
