Yeah, Mumbai airport... fun times. Getting there REALLY early is your best bet, unfortunately. Even with priority, that place can be a madhouse. Three hours before your 6 AM flight is probably not overkill. There isn't really a "less crowded" lane – it's lottery-like, whoever gets there first. Focus on moving fast yourself; have your boarding pass and ID ready, liquids in a separate bag, etc. Minimize the faff. Good luck! You'll need it.

Check out the Bharatmata Temple. It's not exactly hidden, but it's way less crowded than the bigger temples and has a really interesting history, some cool architecture, and a peaceful vibe. Plus, there's a small street food stall right across the road that does amazing vada pav – way better than the tourist traps. It's a proper local spot. You should be able to find it easily enough if you search online - you might even find a local blog or something with some pics. Have a great time at the wedding!
