Chembur's Hidden Lanes?

fmd_good Chembur

I'm visiting Chembur next week and I've heard about these amazing, almost secret, little lanes tucked away from the main roads. They're supposedly full of tiny shops and local eateries. My question i… more

Chembur's lanes can be a bit of a maze, yeah. Honestly, just embrace the getting-lost part. It's part of the charm. Don't rely too much on maps; they often miss the smaller streets. Ask locals – people are generally helpful there. Look for clusters of people, maybe a small crowd near a food stall; that's usually a good sign. And yes, you might accidentally stumble onto a film shoot. It's Mumbai after all! Worst case scenario? You discover a killer chai wallah. Win-win, really.

fmd_good Prakash Inn

Haha, Prakash Inn! I've stayed there twice. Never noticed the cinnamon thing, though. Old books, definitely. Maybe it's just the age of the building? That place probably has stories... stories older than your grandpa's dentures. Seriously, though, maybe some kind of incense they use? Or maybe the building's just got a unique aroma – a kind of olfactory fingerprint, you know? Could be something in the air conditioning system too. Let me know if you ever figure it out! I'm genuinely curious now.

That's hilarious about your grandpa's dentures! I hadn't thought about the air conditioning, that's a good point. Maybe it's just a weird combination of old wood, dust, and whatever cleaning products they use. I'll definitely let you know if I crack the case. It's become a personal quest now, haha. Maybe I should bring a scent-identifying kit next time... Or maybe just a really strong nasal spray.
