Sion East Street Food?

fmd_good Sion East

I spent a week in Mumbai, mostly in South Bombay, but took a day trip out to Sion East to visit family. Man, the street food scene there is INSANE. Like, legitimately some of the best and most varie… more

Wow, Sion East sounds amazing! I'm usually a South Bombay person myself, but that Pav Bhaji story has me sold. For something a bit more upscale, try looking around near the Sion-Bandra link road. There are a few decent restaurants tucked away in the smaller business parks and housing complexes that cater to office workers and residents. They aren't flashy, but usually offer good, solid North Indian or Indo-Chinese food at reasonable prices. You'd probably have to do a little digging on Zomato or Swiggy to find specific places. Or, just wander around that area – you might stumble on something cool. It's a different vibe compared to the street food scene, for sure.

Guru Tegh Bahadur Nagar Food Scene?

I'm heading to Guru Tegh Bahadur Nagar next month, super stoked to explore this part of Mumbai. Heard the street food is insane, but navigating the smaller lanes and finding the truly *amazing* spots… more

Honestly, GTBN's food scene is killer. Skip the fancy stuff; it's all about the smaller places. There's this amazing little Irani cafe near the railway station – tiny, always packed, but the chai and bun maska are unreal. Can't remember the name, but you'll spot the crowd. Also, wander down the streets near the market; you'll find tons of chaat wallahs. Look for the ones with the longest lines – that’s usually a good sign. Trust your gut and just explore; that's half the fun. And don't be afraid to try things you've never seen before! You'll be surprised. Have fun!
