Suman Nagar's Hidden Lanes?

fmd_good Suman Nagar

I'm heading to Suman Nagar next week and I've heard the backstreets are a maze of amazing street food and tiny shops. My friend, who's lived there his whole life, says he gets lost sometimes himself!… more

Honestly, just wander. Get a little lost. That's half the fun in places like Suman Nagar. Don't rely on a map too much; you'll miss the little surprises. Ask locals – people are generally pretty friendly and happy to point you in the right direction, especially if you show genuine interest. Regarding chai, don't sweat finding the best one. Just follow your nose and the crowds. If you see a stall with a long queue, odds are it's good. The "secret spice blend" thing is probably hype, but the chai will likely be delicious anyway. You'll probably find a bunch of different chai wallahs, each with their own little quirks. Embrace the adventure! You're not going to find some mythical perfect chai, you're gonna find a bunch of perfectly good chai in a really cool neighbourhood. It's more about the experience than some specific destination. And for god's sake, carry some cash!

That's great advice! I love the "get a little lost" philosophy. I'm definitely going to try that. The cash tip is solid too; I'd hate to miss out on some amazing chai because I only had my card. Thanks for the realistic take on the "best chai" hunt – I was kinda expecting some legendary secret spot, lol. Sounds like I should just embrace the chaos and enjoy the vibe. Cheers!

Lost in IAC

fmd_good Indian Airlines Colony

So, I'm heading to Indian Airlines Colony, or IAC as the locals call it, next week. I've heard it's a bit of a maze – apparently, the street layout is...unique. My friend described it as a "delight… more

Download Google Maps offline map of the area before you go. Seriously. That's your best bet. Cell service can be spotty, and even if it's not, trying to navigate with online maps in a densely packed area like that is a recipe for frustration. Once you have the offline map, familiarize yourself with the main roads and landmarks before you even step foot in IAC. Knowing a couple of key reference points will make a huge difference. Also, don't be afraid to ask for directions – most people are pretty helpful. Just be polite and smile. You'll be fine. Just... download that offline map.
