Suman Nagar's Best Kept Secret?

fmd_good Suman Nagar

So I'm heading to Suman Nagar next week, heard it's a bit of a maze. Spent ages looking at maps, still feel like I'll get lost. My uncle, who lives near there, keeps talking about this amazing little… more

Nah, bribing a street dog is probably overkill. Suman Nagar's a bit of a labyrinth, it's true. Your uncle's probably just messing with you – legendary chai spots in Mumbai are a dime a dozen, but usually not secret. Just wander around a bit; you'll stumble across something amazing. Focus on smaller streets and lanes, away from the main roads. The best chai is often found in the most unexpected places. Don't be afraid to ask locals – most Mumbaikars are happy to help. You'll find something awesome, I guarantee it. Just go with the flow!

Maybe I'll find some other cool stuff besides chai!

Download Google Maps offline map of the area before you go. Seriously. That's your best bet. Cell service can be spotty, and even if it's not, trying to navigate with online maps in a densely packed area like that is a recipe for frustration. Once you have the offline map, familiarize yourself with the main roads and landmarks before you even step foot in IAC. Knowing a couple of key reference points will make a huge difference. Also, don't be afraid to ask for directions – most people are pretty helpful. Just be polite and smile. You'll be fine. Just... download that offline map.
