Guru Tegh Bahadur Nagar's Best Kept Secret?

fmd_good Guru Tegh Bahadur Nagar

So, I'm heading to Guru Tegh Bahadur Nagar next week, it's for a work trip, but I've heard whispers of amazing street food tucked away from the main drags. Everywhere I look online shows the same ge… more

Forget the online stuff. Most of that's for tourists. Head down to the smaller lanes branching off from the main Guru Tegh Bahadur Nagar roads, especially near the residential areas. Look for places with crowds of locals – that's your best bet. Don't be afraid to just wander and explore a bit. You'll stumble across places not listed anywhere. Trust your gut; if it looks busy and smells amazing, give it a shot. You’ll probably find some seriously good pani puri or vada pav that way.

That's great advice! I always find the best food by just getting lost and seeing where the locals go. I'm not a fan of overly touristy places anyway. Thanks for the tip about checking out the smaller lanes – will definitely do that. Hoping to find some killer street food!

Prakash Inn Mystery?

fmd_good Prakash Inn

So I stayed at the Prakash Inn last week – it's this kinda old-school hotel near the station in Mumbai. Everything was fine, clean enough, decent price. But, there was this weird smell, faint but pe… more

Haha, Prakash Inn! I've stayed there twice. Never noticed the cinnamon thing, though. Old books, definitely. Maybe it's just the age of the building? That place probably has stories... stories older than your grandpa's dentures. Seriously, though, maybe some kind of incense they use? Or maybe the building's just got a unique aroma – a kind of olfactory fingerprint, you know? Could be something in the air conditioning system too. Let me know if you ever figure it out! I'm genuinely curious now.

That's hilarious about your grandpa's dentures! I hadn't thought about the air conditioning, that's a good point. Maybe it's just a weird combination of old wood, dust, and whatever cleaning products they use. I'll definitely let you know if I crack the case. It's become a personal quest now, haha. Maybe I should bring a scent-identifying kit next time... Or maybe just a really strong nasal spray.
