Trust your gut – if a place is packed with locals, it's probably worth checking out. Peak hours are a nightmare everywhere, so maybe try going a little earlier or later. I've had some killer vada pav near the Chembur station – nothing flashy, just simple and delicious. Also, there's this small stall tucked away near the Bharat Nagar market that makes phenomenal misal pav. Seriously, it's unreal. Look for places with a buzz but not a line out the door – that's usually a good indicator of authentic local spots.
