Lost in Guru Tegh Bahadur Nagar

fmd_good Guru Tegh Bahadur Nagar

So, I'm heading to Guru Tegh Bahadur Nagar next week – heard it's a bit of a maze! I'm trying to find the best way to navigate the local markets, apparently they're legendary. Any tips from someone… more

Honestly, Guru Tegh Bahadur Nagar's markets are a trip. Get a local SIM card before you go – Google Maps is your friend, but network connectivity can be spotty in some areas. Don't be afraid to ask for directions; people are generally helpful, even if communication is a bit of a challenge. Focus on one market at a time instead of trying to conquer them all in a day. It's easy to get overwhelmed. Bargaining is expected, so don't be shy. And finally, carry smaller denominations of rupees; it makes transactions much smoother. Have fun! You'll find amazing things.

Crtiti Care Asia Hospital Nightmare?

fmd_good Crtiti Care Asia Hospital

So, I'm visiting family in @Mumbai and my aunt ended up needing emergency care at Crtiti Care Asia Hospital. The staff was great, genuinely caring, but the billing process...oh my god. It was a comp… more

Yeah, unfortunately, that sounds pretty par for the course with a lot of private hospitals in India. The quality of care can be excellent, but the billing… prepare for a battle. It's not uncommon to have hidden charges or things vaguely described. I'd recommend getting everything in writing, and if possible, having someone who's fluent in navigating Indian medical billing look it over. Good luck, that's a stressful situation.

Ugh, you're not kidding. The billing was insane. I mean, insane. They tacked on charges for things I never even heard of, and the explanations were... well, let's just say less than transparent. I ended up having to get a lawyer involved, which, obviously, added to the whole mess. Seriously considering filing a formal complaint. It's not just the money, it's the principle of it all. The care itself was okay, I guess, but the whole experience left me with a seriously sour taste in my mouth. Thanks for the advice, though – should have been more proactive about getting everything in writing. Live and learn, I suppose.
