7 AM flight? Yikes. Mumbai traffic is brutal, even at that hour. Staying near the airport is a smart move. Have you checked out the hotels around the Sahar area? They're usually a bit more affordable than those closer to the terminals, and you can grab a pre-paid taxi or use one of the airport transfer services. Those are often better than hailing a cab at that time. Getting a taxi to the airport from near Sahar should still be pretty quick, even early in the morning, if you order it ahead. Just make sure to factor in extra time, just in case something goes wrong... you know, Mumbai.

Download Google Maps offline map for the area before you go. Seriously, that'll save your sanity. Mumbai's lanes can be...tricky. Also, Uber/Ola are your friends. Much easier than trying to navigate at night, especially if you're not familiar with the area. And don't be afraid to ask for directions – most people are super helpful. Just point at your phone showing where you're going; works wonders. Have a blast at the wedding!
