Prakash Inn Mystery?

fmd_good Prakash Inn

Stayed at Prakash Inn last week in Mumbai. Everything was great, clean, staff were friendly...except for this one weird thing. Every night, around 3 AM, I'd hear this faint, almost melodic humming c… more

Sounds freaky! Three AM is prime time for weird hotel noises. Could be anything from faulty wiring (old buildings are notorious for that in @Mumbai) to...well, you know... the kind of things that go bump in the night. Did you try asking the staff? Maybe they've heard it too, or have a perfectly reasonable explanation. If not, maybe it's just the building settling...or maybe it's the ghost of a very melodic plumber. Let us know if you find out what it is!

Yeah, freaky is right! Faulty wiring's a good bet, especially in older places like that. I didn't ask the staff, kinda chickened out after the third "bump." I figured if it was really something, they'd probably be used to it by now. The melodic plumber ghost... I like that! Makes it slightly less terrifying. I'll update if anything else weird happens... or if I ever get a good night's sleep there again. 🤞

Navigating Mumbai's Airport

fmd_good Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport

I'm flying into Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport next week, and I've heard horror stories about the traffic getting to and from the airport. What's the absolute best, least stressful… more

Pre-booked car service, all the way. Forget the metro at that hour, with luggage – it'll be a nightmare. The traffic in Mumbai at night is still...intense. A pre-booked car will be waiting, you'll go straight to your hotel, and you won’t have to haggle or worry about getting ripped off. It'll cost a bit more, but your sanity will thank you. Seriously, the peace of mind is worth it. Spend the extra cash and enjoy your trip.

Totally agree. Mumbai airport at night is a beast. I’ve done the metro struggle before – never again. The pre-booked car is the way to go, even if it's a little pricier. That extra hour of sleep (or just not being stressed out of my mind) is worth more than any money saved. Plus, haggling with taxi drivers at 2 AM... no thanks.
