Sion East Mysteries

fmd_good Sion East

I'm heading to Sion East next week for a friend's wedding. Heard the local street food scene is killer, but I'm a bit of a scaredy-cat when it comes to trying new things. Anyone know of any particul… more

Ah, Sion East! It's a whirlwind, that's for sure. Dodging traffic is half the fun, I swear. For safe street food bets, stick to places that look busy – turnover means freshness. Look for stalls with lots of local families eating there; they usually know the good, clean spots. Forget the crazy-spicy stuff for your first foray. Plenty of places do milder versions of the classics. You should be able to find vada pav with less chili easily enough; just ask! Even pointing and making a 'not spicy' gesture usually works. Honestly, your biggest challenge will probably be navigating the crowds more than the food itself. Have fun, and don't be afraid to ask for recommendations from locals – most people are happy to help.

CSIA Delays

fmd_good Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport

So, I'm flying out of Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport next week, and I've heard horror stories about the security lines. Seriously, people are saying it's a three-hour wait sometimes! My f… more

Yeah, CSIA security can be a nightmare. Three hours isn't unheard of, unfortunately. Get there super early. Like, ridiculously early. Think four hours before your flight, maybe even more if it's a peak time departure. Pre-download the DigiYatra app – that might shave some time off, but don't rely on it entirely. Also, make sure you've got everything organized – liquids in a clear bag, electronics easily accessible, etc. The less fiddling you do at the security checkpoint, the better. And seriously, pack light. Every little bit helps when you're dealing with those lines. Good luck! You'll need it.
