Pre-paid taxi is your best bet. Skip the regular taxis outside – absolute mayhem. Book one through your hotel or a reputable online service beforehand. It'll be more expensive than risking it with a street cab, but your sanity will thank you. The airport is huge, but well-signposted. Just follow the signs for pre-booked taxis, and they'll take you right to the curb. South Mumbai traffic is legendary… be prepared for a slow ride, even with a pre-booked car. But at least you won't be haggling or worrying about getting ripped off.

Pre-book a cab through one of the apps, Ola or Uber. Way less stressful than trying to hail one at the last minute. And leave super early. Like, ridiculously early. Think you're leaving too early? Leave earlier. Mumbai traffic is a beast, and it doesn't care about your flight. Seriously. Better to be sitting bored in the airport than sprinting through the terminal, sweating bullets.
