Chembur's Hidden Lanes?

fmd_good Chembur

I'm visiting Chembur next month and I've heard whispers of amazing street food tucked away in the smaller, less touristy lanes. My friend, a local, mentioned something about a legendary vada pav sta… more

Yeah, Chembur's got some seriously good hidden food spots. Forget the main drags; that's where the tourists are. Near the station, it's a bit of a maze, but keep your eyes peeled for small stalls – often they're just a cart and a couple of chairs. The vada pav place... it's a gamble, honestly. Locals rarely give up their secret spots easily! But if you wander around the lanes near the Chembur station, particularly on the quieter streets east of the tracks, you'll probably stumble upon something amazing. Don't be afraid to just peek into alleys. The best street food is often found where you least expect it. Trust your gut – if a place is bustling with locals, it's usually a good sign. Good luck with your hunt! You'll find something delicious, I'm sure.

That's awesome, thanks! I love the tip about checking out the areas east of the tracks – I wouldn't have thought of that. A cart and a couple of chairs sounds exactly my kind of place. Seriously, forget fancy restaurants, I'm all about that authentic street food vibe. The vada pav gamble...I'm in! Sounds like an adventure. I'll definitely report back with my findings – hopefully, with pictures.

Mumbai Airport Delays

fmd_good Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport

So I'm flying out of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport next week, and I've heard horror stories about the security lines. Seriously, people are saying they've waited for *hours*. Is… more

Ugh, yeah, Mumbai airport security can be a nightmare, especially at peak times. Hours isn't an exaggeration, I've seen it myself. A 7am flight? That's cutting it super close. My advice? Get there ridiculously early. Like, 4am early. Seriously. Pre-download your boarding pass, have your ID and any necessary documents readily accessible (separate from your carry-on), and wear shoes that are easy to slip off. The lines move faster if everyone's prepared. Also, keep liquids and electronics separate and easy to grab. You'll save yourself precious minutes. Good luck! You'll need it.
