You're totally right. It did feel oddly peaceful, almost out of place in the middle of all the beeping and rushing around. I hadn't even considered it being intentional design, but that makes perfect sense. Makes you wonder how much thought goes into the seemingly insignificant details of a hospital's layout. I'll check their website, good call! I'd bet money they'd highlight it as a selling point – "patient-centric design" or some marketing jargon like that, haha.
