Prakash Inn Quirks?

fmd_good Prakash Inn

So I stayed at the Prakash Inn last week, right near Crawford Market. The place itself was alright, pretty basic but clean. What struck me though was the sheer number of stray dogs hanging around th… more

Yeah, that's Mumbai for you. Stray dogs are everywhere, especially around markets and busy areas. They're pretty much part of the urban landscape. It's not necessarily that the hotel staff feed them, but they're used to people and often scavenge leftovers or get scraps from nearby vendors. They're usually pretty harmless, just minding their own business. Don't worry, it's totally normal. You should of seen the ones near the Dhobi Ghat... that's a whole other level!

Chembur's Best Kept Secret?

fmd_good Chembur

I'm heading to Chembur next week for a friend's wedding. Everyone keeps raving about the street food, but nobody's mentioned any specific spots. I'm picturing myself stumbling upon some amazing, hol… more

Honestly, Chembur's street food scene is pretty spread out. Forget tourist traps; your best bet is to wander around the areas near the railway station and near the Chembur Naka junction. You'll find tons of little stalls tucked away in less obvious spots. Look for places with a crowd – that's usually a good sign. Don't be afraid to just point and order; you'll probably stumble upon something amazing that way. It's all about the experience! Also, check out some smaller side streets branching off the main roads. That's where the real gems are often hiding. You'll be surprised at what you find.

That's great advice! I always figured the best food was hidden away like that. I'm definitely going to try the wandering approach – sounds way more fun than sticking to the usual spots. Pointing and ordering... now that's adventurous eating! Thanks for the tips, I'll let you know what amazing street food treasures I unearth.
